China’s Plastic Machinery Industry Overview in the First Half Of 2017

There are 399 large-scale plastic machinery manufacturing companies in China in the first half of 2017. From the overall situation, the whole industry affected by the positive policy and the promotion of industrial structure adjustment, the trend of this industry maintains a rapid growth, and the order demands increased dramatically in many companies, some of these companies even have to put the manufacture schedule off to the next year.

From January to June, the growth rate of the export value and main business revenue was 23% and 26% respectively, the total profit margin up to 52%, and the mainly business profit margin was 10%.In the first quarter, the export value, the prime operating revenue and total profit were 2.326 billion, 14.358 billion, 1.413 billion severally, up 23%, 24% and 69% respectively. 

In the second quarter, the export value was 2.716 billion, reached an increasing at 23%, rose up to 17% than last year. While the prime operating revenue was 186.37 billion, which grew to 29%, higher than last year at 30%, the total profit was 18.637 billion, increased 41% from a year earlier, rose to 32%.

In the first half of 2017, the main economic indicators of China’s plastic machinery are shown in the below table 1 and figure 1.

From January to June in 2017, among the top 10 countries of China’s plastic machine export market, some grew rapidly, such as USA, India, Thailand and Bangladesh, at the meantime, the export situation decreased greatly in Indonesia and Turkey. The export quantity of injection molding machine to USA was 97414, increased 141.62%, the mainly product was 3D printer, which account for 97% of the total.

Basing on the above data, in the global injection mold industry, , we could clearly understand that the South-East Asia market is gradually expanding and completing, in the future, the United States still has large potential. Regarding the technology in this industry, 3D printer will become a new rising power.
